MBACP, Dip. Therapeutic Counselling
Eleanor Rushton - Integrative Therapist & Counsellor

About Me

My name is Eleanor, and I am a qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor, with additional training in couples and intimate partner therapy.

Individual Counselling

I offer a warm, confidential space in which you can unpack your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, free from judgment. My role is to support your journey of exploration, helping you move toward greater clarity and self-understanding.

Each person’s experiences are unique, and uniquely challenging. Our way of encountering these shapes our sense of self and the world around us, influencing how we feel and respond, especially when life is difficult.

By exploring these experiences with curiosity and compassion, we can begin to uncover patterns and understand their meaning. Through this process of discovery, it is possible to gain new perspectives and a clearer sense of who we are.

I have worked with a range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship endings and break-ups, low self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ identity, sexual assault, complex family and relationship dynamics, and shame.

Couples / Intimate Partner Therapy

My approach to working with couples and intimate partners is warm, balanced, and non-judgmental.

Relationships shape so much of who we are and how we live our lives. When those relationships feel vulnerable, strained, or stretched to their limits, the impact can be profound.

My role is to sit with you as, together, you navigate the challenges facing your relationship. I will support clearer communication, deeper understanding, and meaningful exploration, and create a space in which you can express your needs and concerns.

I work with a range of experiences, including communication issues, infidelity, work pressure, parenting, conflict, trust, emotional intimacy, sexual intimacy, desire discrepancy, life transitions, co-dependency, boundaries, renegotiating relationship structures, ethical non-monogamy, cultural differences, and relationship endings and break-ups.

I work with people in a variety of relationship structures (including ethical non-monogamy) and am psychosexually informed and kink-aware.

As a Therapist, I Am:

  • Trained in Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and CBT
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming
  • Available for online and in-person work
