Rachel Pretty

Diploma in Gestalt Counselling (MBACP)
Rachel Pretty - Therapist & Counsellor

Hello, I am Rachel, a Gestalt Therapist (MBACP) based at Walthamstow Therapy.

I support my clients to live as freely and authentically as possible. I’m interested in your unique experiences and identity, and whatever has brought you here. I work in an empathetic and relational way, helping you to bring awareness to whatever feels difficult or limiting.

I offer a space which is :

  • Open and honest
  • Creative
  • Where you feel seen and heard, and
  • Where we can explore our difference and how we connect with one another

As a Gestalt Therapist, I work with the ‘here and now’ exploring how past experience affects your present relationship to self and others. This can help you to develop more awareness of how you are, freeing up space to make different choices and find balance in your life.

Some of the issues I work with include anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief & loss, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and identity issues.

Before training as a therapist, I worked as a midwife and have over 20 years of supporting people during fertility, pregnancy and parenthood.

Contact

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of one another. It is important for you to feel you have a ‘good fit’ with your therapist and there is no commitment to work together at this point.

If we decide to continue, we can explore what feels right for you; a short period of sessions or longer-term therapy. We will arrange a weekly time that will be yours with reviews to see how the therapy is working.

Fees

Fees are £70 per 50 minute session. Some concessionary rates are available.
